Frequently asked questions

Answers about prices, timelines, publishing and ownership. If your question isn't here, ask it directly.

Pricing and payment

How much does an app cost?

Packages on this site start at £150 for bug fixing and go up to £2,000 for complex custom software. A simple iOS or Android app starts at £500, and a startup MVP at £1,500. The right price depends on the features, platforms and integrations you need.

If your project is larger than a single package, I'll put together a written quote once we've talked through your requirements.

What does the package price include?

Each service page describes the baseline scope the price covers. Every package includes a call to confirm requirements, a written scope before work starts, progress updates and handover notes at the end.

What isn't included?

Third-party costs are not included unless agreed separately. That covers Apple Developer Program and Google Play Console account fees, hosting, paid APIs, subscriptions and any other external services your app relies on.

How do I pay?

You can order a fixed-price package online and pay by card through Stripe's secure checkout. Card details are handled by Stripe and never reach this website. Larger custom projects can be split into staged payments, agreed in writing.

Projects and process

How long does it take to build an app?

Small jobs such as bug fixes, push notifications or API integrations usually take days rather than weeks. A simple app or MVP typically takes several weeks. You'll get an estimated timeline when we confirm the scope.

Do you build for both iOS and Android?

Yes. I can build separate native apps, or one cross-platform app from a shared codebase when that suits your project. I'll recommend the approach that best fits your budget, features and plans for the future.

Can you work on an app someone else built?

Yes. Updates, bug fixes and new features for existing apps are a regular part of my work. I start by reviewing the current code so the scope and price reflect what's really there.

Will I see progress during the project?

Yes. You'll get regular updates and, for apps, test builds you can install on your own phone or computer. Your feedback is built into the plan, not left until the end.

Do you work with clients outside the UK?

Yes. I'm based in Cardiff and work with clients across the UK and abroad. Calls are held by video, and payments are taken in pounds sterling.

Will you sign an NDA?

Yes. I'm happy to sign a reasonable non-disclosure agreement before you share the details of your idea.

Publishing, ownership and support

Can you guarantee App Store or Google Play approval?

No developer can guarantee approval, because Apple and Google make the final decision under their own rules. I prepare your build, listing and privacy details to their current guidelines, and if a store requests changes, I'll help you respond.

Who owns the app and the source code?

You do. Once the project is paid in full, ownership of the code written specifically for you passes to you. Apps are published under your own developer accounts so you stay in control.

Do you offer support after launch?

Yes. If you report a defect in work I delivered within 30 days of handover, I'll fix it at no extra cost. After that, updates, new features and maintenance are available as separate services.

Can I cancel an order?

Consumers have a 14-day right to cancel. If work has already started at your request, you pay only for the work done up to that point. The Refund Policy explains the details.
